Yesterday evening (August 31st) brought incredibly exciting news for LEGO fans! Amazon Japan revealed the latest set from the DC film "The Dark Knight," confirming the return of a legendary item: the "LEGO 76240 Batmobile Tumbler," slated for a November 2021 release.
Released back in 2014, the LEGO "The Dark Knight" Batmobile (set number 76023) was undoubtedly a beloved collectible for many enthusiasts, but also a missed opportunity for others due to its skyrocketing aftermarket prices. Now, collectors have another chance to own Nolan's iconic Batmobile! This brand-new "76240 Batmobile Tumbler" boasts 2049 pieces, an increase from the 76023's 1869 pieces. It maintains a similar format, combining a large brick-built vehicle with minifigures and a display stand. Once assembled, the model measures approximately 45 cm long, making for a truly impressive display piece!
Aesthetically, this new Batmobile features a slightly narrower front section compared to its predecessor. The overall design still heavily utilizes black bricks, accented with golden-yellow elements, and includes transparent window pieces. It comes with a display stand and features a removable roof, allowing fans to admire the intricate dashboard details in the cockpit. The set includes two minifigures: Batman and The Joker, both confirmed to feature new print designs distinct from those in the 76023 set, making this release highly anticipated!
