BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division, known for its highly detailed and articulated S.H.Figuarts line, recently announced several new figures from Marvel's "Eternals." This article focuses on the **Ikaris** figure, set for release in October 2021!
The film "Eternals" takes place after the events of "Avengers: Endgame." It sees the powerful, immortal Eternals, who have historically refrained from interfering in human conflicts, reunite to combat the malevolent Deviants, a race that preys on humanity. Each Eternal possesses unique abilities derived from "Cosmic Energy," allowing them to perform feats like firing energy beams from their eyes, transforming energy into weapons and machinery, or even controlling minds. Ikaris stands out as an exceptionally powerful Eternal warrior, boasting the fastest flight speed among his kind and famously projecting cosmic rays from his eyes.
Standing approximately 15 cm tall, this figure faithfully recreates Ikaris's iconic blue and gold battle suit, as seen in the film's trailers. The design features intricate gold patterns unique to Ikaris, with varying shades of blue creating a sense of depth and layering. The shoulders, arms, back, and skirt armor are adorned with striking and elaborate patterns. The head sculpt captures actor Richard Madden's likeness, complete with his signature swept-back short hair. Accessories include an alternate head sculpt, cosmic ray effects, and multiple interchangeable hands. Notably, the cosmic ray effect included with the figure is designed as a concentrated beam, differing slightly from the dual, thinner beams shown in some trailers. Additional attachable effect parts are also included for enhanced display options.
