Hey everyone! Check out my YouTube channel for more!
It's been a while since I've shot toy photos, but I'm excited to share my thoughts on the ROBOT Spirits release of the MAILeS Kenbu, the protagonist mecha from AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline.
Simply put, the articulation on this figure is phenomenal. Thanks to its inherent design, many areas lack the restrictive external armor typically found on humanoid mecha joints, resulting in truly exceptional poseability.
As for the sculpt, it really depends on whether you're a fan of its unique design; if you are, you'll find it quite appealing. It's worth noting that the ROBOT Spirits version tends to be a bit chunkier and more exaggerated in its proportions compared to the model kit, which offers a more streamlined and refined silhouette. While the model kit features clear parts for the eyes, this figure's eyes are painted. However, the paint application here is surprisingly good, with everything (except the sword, which is a common oversight, haha) being fully colored. It also boasts a factory-applied semi-matte finish, and intricate details like the cockpit are faithfully reproduced. Overall, the presentation feels excellent!
