Following their release of the Thena 1/6 scale collectible figure from Marvel Studios' "Eternals" film, Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer Hot Toys has now unveiled the next entry in the series: the highly anticipated Gilgamesh 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure! This impressive piece is slated for release between Q2 and Q3 2023.
In the world of "Eternals," Gilgamesh is depicted as a powerful member of the Eternals, possessing immense strength and a formidable physique. He can manifest gauntlet-like armor around his forearms using cosmic energy, combining it with his formidable hand-to-hand combat skills to create a versatile offensive and defensive fighting style. A single punch from him is enough to send a Deviant flying. Throughout the film, he also demonstrates a reliable and caring nature, looking after Thena after she is afflicted with Mahd Wy'ry (the "Eternal Madness") when they are separated from their fellow Eternals. Beyond his combat prowess, he's also skilled in cooking and brewing, truly embodying the "gentle giant" archetype.
Standing approximately 30 cm tall, this figure boasts over 30 points of articulation, allowing for dynamic posing. It meticulously recreates Gilgamesh's Eternals battle suit, featuring a bronze and metallic green color scheme as seen in the film. The intricate patterns and details on the armor are faithfully reproduced, and a soft, fabric-stitched skirt is incorporated to minimize interference with leg articulation. His powerful upper body and arms are expertly sculpted, making for an incredibly imposing display piece! The head sculpt is particularly outstanding, capturing the facial likeness of actor Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) with remarkable accuracy. His intense gaze, realistic skin texture, and precisely sculpted beard are all incredibly lifelike. As for accessories, reflecting Gilgamesh's unique abilities, the figure comes with a pair of translucent gauntlet effect parts adorned with striking golden lines.
