Let her be your rental for a little longer! Japanese toy giant GOOD SMILE COMPANY is set to release a 1/7 scale figure of Chizuru Mizuhara, the beloved heroine from the popular romance anime and manga series "Rent-A-Girlfriend"! The figure is slated for an April 2023 release!
"Rent-A-Girlfriend" (彼女、お借りします) is a romantic comedy manga series created by Reiji Miyajima, which began serialization in Japan's "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2017. The anime's second season premiered in July 2022. The story follows protagonist Kazuya Kinoshita, who, heartbroken after breaking up with his girlfriend Mami Nanami after just one month, decides to use an online "rental girlfriend" service. He is met by the stunningly beautiful Chizuru Mizuhara. A series of coincidences, coupled with the scheming ex-girlfriend Mami and the one-sided affections of the lovely Ruka Sarashina, lead to a complex web of ambiguous interactions and unexpected events among the group.
Chizuru Mizuhara's real name is Chizuru Ichinose. Fearing exposure of her part-time job as a rental girlfriend, she uses a pseudonym and maintains a low profile. When playing the role of a girlfriend, she appears beautiful, gentle, and graceful. However, she also possesses a strong personality, often feeling lonely and helpless, though she always tries to hide it behind a facade of strength. After meeting the protagonist, their interactions—including outings, filming a short movie, and dealing with a family loss—have led to an increasingly ambiguous relationship. She is currently entangled in a complex dynamic with Ruka Sarashina, Mami Nanami, and others.
This Chizuru Mizuhara figure, produced by GOOD SMILE COMPANY, is sculpted in a 1/7 scale, standing approximately 23cm tall. The sculpt perfectly captures her with flowing long hair, a pink mini-dress, high heels, and a handbag, all while casting a captivating glance over her shoulder. Her irresistible beauty is sure to make anyone want to take a second look.
