This impressive piece is based on the 2008 MARVEL film "Iron Man" and is estimated to ship in the first quarter of 2023.
In the 2008 "Iron Man" film, after testing his new "Jericho" missile and preparing to return from Afghanistan, Tony Stark is ambushed and kidnapped by the local armed organization, the Ten Rings. He is then ordered to build a missile in a cave in exchange for his freedom. Tony, along with fellow captive Yinsen, devises an escape plan. Using missile parts and other available resources, and under constant surveillance, the two construct the wearable combat power armor known as the "Iron Man Mark 1"!
This piece stands approximately 50.8 cm (20 inches) tall and is meticulously crafted from high-quality polystone. It faithfully recreates the bulky, heavily armored appearance of the Iron Man Mark 1, with its intricate plating. The iron-gray armor features uneven protrusions, hammered textures, and realistic paint chips and weathered scratches throughout. Exposed wires between the metal exterior and the inner suit, along with extensive mechanical structures on the back, perfectly capture the rushed, makeshift nature of its construction. Beyond the incredible detail across the entire figure, the Arc Reactor in the chest also features a light-up function, adding an even more imposing presence when illuminated! The base is designed to evoke the cave scene from the film and includes a prominently displayed missile, adding to the dramatic effect.
