From Japan's Bandai Toy Company's GASHAPON capsule toy brand, the popular "Mobile Suit Gundam" themed capsule model "EXCEED MODEL ZAKU HEAD" is set to release its latest 9th series in the second week of June 2022, with a reference price of 500 JPY per capsule.
"EXCEED MODEL ZAKU HEAD" is an exquisite model that surpasses the standard of typical capsule toys in terms of detail, color, part separation, and articulation. All parts are packaged within a specially designed egg-shaped container, eliminating the need for extra capsule shells that could create waste. Assembly is also very easy; simply follow the included instructions to attach parts such as the head camera, power pipes, and antenna, and you can complete a Zaku head bust with intricate internal structures, rich panel lines, and printed body markings. A simple panel line wash will give it a superb texture.

The ninth series, "EXCEED MODEL ZAKU HEAD 9", is themed after the recently released Gundam theatrical animation "Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island", featuring four types: "Char's High Mobility Zaku II", "High Mobility Zaku (Ground Type) Basic Color Ver.", "High Mobility Zaku (Ground Type) Basic Color Ver. Egger Machine", and "Doan's Zaku".

Among these, the most captivating is undoubtedly the protagonist's "Doan's Zaku". Its mobile suit design incorporates the famous "animation breakdown" look from the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" TV series 40 years ago, rationalizing its uniquely distorted, horse-like face as a state of disrepair due to age. The EXCEED MODEL ZAKU HEAD specifically uses new parts for Doan's Zaku to faithfully recreate its drooping lower jaw armor and damaged power pipe design!
