Japanese renowned soft vinyl toy design brand SCIENCE PATROL recently announced that the latest work, "Jar Person," from the popular Soulslike video game Elden Ring, has successfully obtained a same-day license from BANDAI NAMCO and FromSoftware. It is scheduled to be sold on July 24, 2022, at the 'Wonder Festival 2022 [Summer]' held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall. The Jar People are one of the races in the world of Elden Ring. They are jar-shaped creatures with limbs, and their bodies gradually grow larger with age. Beneath their lids, which bear the mark of the Erdtree, the remains of the deceased are preserved, and their abilities vary in strength depending on the state of the deceased during their lifetime. Residing in the secluded 'Jarburg,' they are mostly benevolent in nature and possess the ability to communicate with other races. Among them, the most well-known character is the warrior jar Alexander, known as 'Iron Fist'.
The "Jar Person" produced by SCIENCE PATROL is a soft vinyl figure approximately 10 cm tall. Its sculpt largely reproduces the textures on the jar's surface, damaged cracks, the Erdtree mark on the top, and the scale-covered limbs resembling those of a reptile. The upper arms, lower arms, and legs are equipped with simple rotating joints, allowing it to recreate waving gestures.
