BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division of Japan today announced that the "HGUC 1/144 Zogok (Jaburo Capture Operation Specification)" kit, originally released in 2013 as part of the highly diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series, will be re-released in October 2022. This product will be exclusively sold on the official PREMIUM BANDAI store.
Appearing in multiple Gundam works such as MSV, ZZ, and UC, the MSM-08 Zogok is an amphibious mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon for the capture of the Jaburo base located in South America. This unit was an improvement upon the MSM-07 Z'Gok, retaining a similar silhouette design while further enhancing its land combat capabilities. Its arms feature a special telescopic mechanism, extending up to 20 meters to deliver high-speed surprise attacks that can pierce enemy units. What appear to be heat fins on its head are actually metal boomerangs, capable of being launched directly from the head to slice through enemy mobile suits.
The "HGUC 1/144 Zogok (Jaburo Capture Operation Specification)" is a modification of the previously released Unicorn version kit, with its overall molding colors changed to reflect its specifications during the 0079 Jaburo Capture Operation, and includes dedicated decals to reproduce its unit markings. This kit boasts excellent part separation and articulation design; the internal structure of the upper body, movable mono-eye, clear visor, exhaust ports, and other sections are all independent parts. All ten head boomerangs are also individually detachable.
Regarding weaponry, the arms can reproduce the telescopic punch action through part replacement. As it is a modification of the Unicorn version, accessories also include weapons used in UC 0096, such as the Heat Saber and Iron Nail Rocket Launcher. Both Iron Nail Rocket Launchers can be stored by hanging them on the rear waist.
