Japan's Bandai Gashapon division, "GASHAPON," will release miniature gashapon toys featuring the obstacle courses from the First Stage of the classic athletic program "SASUKE" in mid-July 2022!
Friends who frequently watch Japanese television programs are surely familiar with "SASUKE," the extreme athletic challenge show. Originally a special segment within TBS Television's "Kinniku Banzuke" (Muscle Ranking) program, its immense popularity led it to become an independent show. The program invites 100 contestants who face extreme obstacle challenges across four stages. Participants must utilize their physical prowess, skill, and and reflexes to overcome each difficult level. Those who successfully clear all four stages are awarded substantial prize money. In addition to being broadcast worldwide, the show has inspired numerous international adaptations, with the American "American Ninja Warrior" being a highly successful example.
This gashapon series brings various obstacles from SASUKE's "First Stage" to life as miniature collectible toys. It features a total of six obstacle designs, including: "Step Slider," "Rolling Hill," "Fish Bone," "Dragon Glider," "Triple Tock," and "Double Warped Wall." These are all materialized from actual competition obstacles, and seeing them evokes the passion of the contestants during their challenges.
