The latest Gundam anime, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," set to premiere in October 2022, officially released its approximately 24-minute prequel animation "PROLOGUE" on the evening of the 14th. Concurrently, BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan preemptively unveiled information and preview official images for 7 newly announced HG 1/144 model kit products. Full product details will be announced on July 20th.
The story of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" is set in A.S. (Ad Stella) 122, an era when numerous corporations have expanded into space, building vast economic spheres. The protagonist is a girl named Suletta Mercury. She transfers from Mercury, a remote frontier, to Asticassia School of Technology, an academy run by the Benerit Group, the leading company in the mobile suit industry. With a pure and innocent heart shining with a crimson glow, the girl will step by step enter a new world. This work will be directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi, with Ichiro Okouchi handling series composition and screenplay.
