KOTOBUKIYA, the Japanese toy company, unveiled the painted prototype of its latest product, "FRAME ARMS GIRL Kongo," during the KOTOBUKIYA COLLECTION ONLINE new product announcement event held last weekend. The release date is yet to be determined.
Designed by illustrator Humikane Shimada, "FRAME ARMS GIRL Kongo" takes its original Frame Arms mecha design from Takayuki Yanase. Its name and design incorporate elements from the Japanese cruiser Kongo, active during World War II. Humikane Shimada designed the base body as a short-haired Bishoujo with her left eye covered, possessing a remarkably full and attractive figure.
The armaments largely inherit the characteristics of the Frame Arms version. For instance, the hat and leg armor are originally the head and legs of the Frame Arms Kongo. Weapons including antennas, radar, turbo propellers, turrets, and torpedoes are designed to be mounted on a back support frame. Furthermore, the side armor can transform to recreate its distinctive ship form. The release date for this product is yet to be determined, with detailed product information to be announced later.
