Japanese sculptor Soichi Harikiri recently officially announced his brand new original model series 'Endoskeleton Museum'. The products will be previewed and sold at Wonder Festival 2022[Summer] on July 24th (Booth No. 4-03-08), with online pre-orders expected to open in the future.
The 'Endoskeleton Museum' doesn't just create three-dimensional specimens based on common creatures like rhinoceros beetles, stag beetles, spiders, and crayfish. Instead, it re-designs vertebrate-like endoskeletal structures within the outlines of these exoskeletal organisms. Whether insects or arthropods, they are given spines, ribs, and skulls, creating a visual impact that is both familiar and beyond conventional understanding.
The products will be released as unpainted 3D printed kits. The first wave includes three types: "Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle," "Giraffe Stag Beetle," and "Mexican Redknee Tarantula." The second wave will feature three types: "Caucasus Beetle," "European Stag Beetle," and "American Crayfish."

Soichi Harikiri, currently 33 years old, began sculpting in 2008 and participated in WONDER FESTIVAL as an amateur sculptor under the name "G-Rug" in 2011. He is capable of sculpting a wide range of characters, from beautiful girl characters like those in "Touhou Project" and "Kantai Collection" to the dark fantasy characters from FromSoftware's Souls series. His courageous and challenging mindset has led him to tackle various characters and make rapid progress, officially becoming a professional freelance sculptor in 2018. Furthermore, during the years of the COVID-19 pandemic, he learned ZBrush, transitioning from traditional analog sculpting to digital modeling with astonishing talent.
