Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo announced at Japan's largest model exhibition, Wonder Festival 2022 [Summer], held on the 24th of this month, that its popular action figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI" will release two new products based on "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak": "Malzeno Armor Swordsman Hunter" and "Lunagaron Armor Swordsman Hunter." The release date is yet to be determined.
The "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI" series features action figures with prototypes sculpted by Kaiyodo's renowned sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, utilizing the highly acclaimed Revoltech joint parts. The themes primarily feature characters from Marvel, DC, My Hero Academia, and other popular franchises. The articulation of the joints is exceptionally outstanding, allowing for dynamic battle poses from the original works to be recreated with various accessories and effects.
This time, male character armor made from the materials of the newly introduced monsters "Malzeno" and "Lunagaron" from the latest expansion "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak" will be released. Although this marks AMAZING YAMAGUCHI's first venture into a video game theme, Katsuhisa Yamaguchi has previously created many excellent "Monster Hunter" works in the Revoltech series. For instance, the recently re-released "Rathalos Armor Hunter" and "Zinogre Armor Hunter," with revamped joints, meticulously sculpt details such as biological claws, carapaces, scales, and fur. While prototypes have not yet been released since their integration into AMAZING YAMAGUCHI, we are confident that Yamaguchi-sensei will continue his past style and sculpting standards, once again delivering outstanding Monster Hunter works.
