From Japanese model manufacturer Max Factory, the popular model kit brand "PLAMAX," known for its incredibly rich themes, recently announced the latest product from "Mashin Hero Wataru," "Kuujinmaru," slated for release in December 2022.
Kuujinmaru, shaped like a giant bird, is a reconnaissance bird-type Mashin piloted by Wataru Ikusabe. Equipped with two jet engines behind its head, its flight capabilities are among the best around Soukaizan, and it can utilize high-performance antennas and cameras to thoroughly scout every movement on the ground. While Kuujinmaru doesn't possess powerful main weapons like other Mashin, it can engage in combat using its sharp beak, pointed claws, and the Hawk Wave Gun mounted on its wings.
The "PLAMAX Kuujinmaru" is produced using multi-color molded parts to faithfully recreate its appearance from the series, with some colors supplemented by foil stickers. In addition to the various joints throughout its body, the Hawk Wave Guns on its wings also feature movable mechanisms, allowing them to rotate vertically up and down. Accessories include two types of claw tip parts, fisted and open-hand parts, and an unpainted Wataru Ikusabe figure. By swapping some parts, it can also combine with the separately sold PLAMAX MS-14 Ryujinmaru Upgrade ver. to form Tenkuryujinmaru!
