Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division, under its "Ringcolle!" series which transforms rings into collectible capsule toys, following LOTTE Koala's March, is once again featuring the venerable Japanese confectionery brand Fujiya, launching the "Ringcolle! Fujiya Candy Ring Collection" capsule toys! There are five types in total, with a reference price of 300 JPY per turn, scheduled to be released in early August 2022.
Fujiya, a long-established Japanese food manufacturing company, began in 1910 in Yokohama Motomachi by making fresh cream fruit cakes. Its scale gradually expanded, and its products now include cream puffs, cookies, chocolates, candies, caramels, and other sweets. The brand's popular mascot "Peko" (ペコちゃん, also known as Milky Girl) was born in 1950. Her iconic tongue-out image is printed on Fujiya's "Milky" caramel product packaging. As the product grew in popularity, Peko became a character emblematic of Fujiya's corporate spirit.
The "Ringcolle! Fujiya Candy Ring Collection" capsule toys miniaturize Fujiya's popular cookies and candies, even faithfully recreating their product packaging! The collection includes five types of rings: the classic Milky Caramel, Retro Milky, Vanilla Chocolate Cookies, HOME PIE Family Mille-feuille, and strawberry-flavored LOOK Chocolate. These colorful candy and cookie designs are transformed into adorable rings, and wearing them on your hand might just make you crave snacks!
