The Machibouke (Waiting) themed series, released by Bandai's Gashapon division in Japan, will launch a new installment this August. Following animals, vegetables, unidentified mysterious animals (U.M.A.), and more, it's now bread's turn to join the waiting lineup!
The "Waiting Bread" series, in its super mini size of approximately 1.9 to 3 cm, imbues our everyday breads with anthropomorphic limbs, creating an atmosphere of patiently waiting, solely to preserve their deliciousness until they reach your mouth. The lineup includes a loaf of sliced bread (食パン), a perfectly toasted slice of bread seemingly embracing butter (トースト), a melon pan (メロンパン), a croissant (クロワッサン), and a set of two raw dough balls (パンのたね). Whether displayed as a complete set or enjoyed individually with coffee or a drink, they are incredibly adorable. Make sure to grab them from the gashapon machines as soon as they're released; don't let these breads wait too long!
