Max Factory, a renowned Japanese toy and figure manufacturer, will release a new articulated figure from its popular "figma" series in July 2023, featuring the antagonist "Flazzard" (フレイザード) from the classic and popular work "Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai"!

"Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai" (ドラゴンクエスト ダイのだいぼうけん) is adapted from the Japanese national RPG game "Dragon Quest." Riku Sanjo is responsible for the original story, and Koji Inada for the artwork. It began serialization in Shueisha's manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 1989, with a total of 37 tankobon volumes. The latest remake anime adaptation began airing in October 2020 and is currently ongoing. The story primarily narrates the grand tale of protagonist Dai, who transforms from a weak boy into a true hero through a series of adventures and battles.
Flazzard, whose body is half ice and half flame, is a lifeform created by Hadlar, the commander of the Demon Lord's army, using forbidden magic. His personality is extremely cruel, ruthless, despicable, violent, and warlike. During his confrontation with Dai and his companions, he despicably took Princess Leona hostage and fought using a barrier. He was ultimately defeated when Dai unleashed the perfected Avan Strash.
This figma Flazzard differs from previously released figures. It perfectly recreates Flazzard's half-and-half design, crafted with clear parts. The head features two interchangeable eye expressions. The overall articulation is excellent, allowing for many poses from the original work through part replacement. Naturally, it also includes effect parts for Flazzard's signature "Five Finger Flare Bomb," along with a dedicated display stand.
