BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, based in Japan, recently announced the latest product from the "Kamen Rider" series, "Kamen Rider Old 1," from their 'S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou)' line, which sculpts from the skeletal structure to recreate the physique of tokusatsu hero actors. This highly anticipated item is scheduled for release on November 15, 2022. This product serves as a commemorative item for the opening of Bandai's official exhibition event, TAMASHII NATION 2022, and is planned for lottery sales on PREMIUM BANDAI at a later date.
The "Kamen Rider Old 1" released this time represents the initial form of Kamen Rider 1, as transformed by protagonist Takeshi Hongo in the original "Kamen Rider" series. It is specifically designed to depict his appearance before undergoing further modification and enhancement. Compared to the enhanced New 1, this version features a deeper blue-black color scheme, and the mask design also presents subtle differences.
"S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Kamen Rider Old 1" utilizes newly sculpted parts to faithfully recreate the origin of Takeshi Hongo's transformation. It boasts a realistic physique, as if an actor were wearing the suit, with meticulously detailed sculpting on the mask, the "Typhoon" transformation belt, and the wrinkles of the costume. The iconic red scarf is crafted from woven fabric and features an embedded metal wire, allowing for free and dynamic shape adjustment. Accessories include 4 pairs of interchangeable hands, which, combined with the highly articulated joint design throughout the body, enable collectors to pose him in cool battle stances and recreate scenes of him executing his signature Rider Kick.
