To commemorate the 'Mecha Smile Impact' new product exhibition, which will be held again on January 14-15, 2023, Japanese model manufacturer Good Smile Company's mecha-themed toy brand Mecha Smile officially announced today the release of the event commemorative product 'MODEROID Granzort Black Version', scheduled for February 2023. This product will be sold exclusively and in limited quantities on the GOODSMILE Online Shop.
This product is based on one of the 'Three Light Madō Kings' from the classic robot anime 'Madō King Granzort', who commands lava and earth, summoned by the Madō Warrior Daichi Haruka using the Madō Gun. The magic he wields is imbued with the power of fire and earth, and he wields the 'Earth God Sword', the Erde Kaiser, as his weapon. He possesses the strongest destructive power among all Madō Kings and is the only one capable of verbal communication. After the release of the standard color version in 2021, this limited new black color scheme makes its appearance once again!
The 'MODEROID Granzort Black Version' is based on the standard kit, with the molded parts and some pre-painted parts changed to an original black tone. It also includes newly designed stickers to recreate the original head patterns. Each joint features flexible articulation, and it can transform from Face Mode to Battle Mode. In Face Mode, it can be displayed in a floating state with the included magic circle display stand.
In Battle Mode, it can wield its exclusive weapon, the 'Earth God Sword' Erde Kaiser. The flame magic power effect parts, unlike the transparent orange molding of the standard version, are changed to transparent blue molding to complement the black body, creating a cool azure flame effect!
