To commemorate the 'MECHA SMILE IMPACT' new product exhibition, which will be held again on January 14th and 15th, 2023, Japanese model manufacturer Good Smile Company's mecha-themed toy brand Mecha Smile officially announced today the event commemorative product "MODEROID Ikaruga METALLIC SILHOUETTE Ver.", scheduled for release in February 2023. This product will be sold exclusively and in limited quantities on the GOODSMILE Online Shop.
From the light novel 'Knight's & Magic', Ikaruga is a Silhouette Knight designed by the protagonist, Ernesti Echevalier. Compared to other models, its appearance features a unique armored samurai design. It is equipped with four auxiliary arms, "Moonlight Grips", on its back, and carries several "Gun-Swords" as its main weapons, capable of both melee and magic attacks. Its most significant features are the medium-sized magic converter "Queen's Crown" in its abdomen and the large "Emperor's Heart" reactor on its back. This immense magical power, combined with its full-body magic-storage armor and magic-jet thrusters, achieves the strongest performance in the history of Silhouette Knights. Its active combat style has earned it the moniker "Ogre God" from other nations.
The limited edition "MODEROID Ikaruga METALLIC SILHOUETTE Ver." is based on the standard kit released in 2020. The original blue and gold molded parts have all been replaced with a special specification that involves first applying gold plating and then metallic paint. The pre-painted face parts and body marking stickers are the same as the standard version, giving the model an exceptionally brilliant and luxurious metallic texture.
Once assembled, the kit stands approximately 15 cm tall. All joints, including the two pairs of auxiliary arms "Moonlight Grips" mounted on its back, feature articulated designs, allowing it to strike the "Ogre God" pose, wielding all four dedicated "Gun-Swords" simultaneously.
