To celebrate the 7th anniversary of 'KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS,' the studio led by world-renowned game creator Hideo Kojima, Japanese toy company Sen-ti-nel has announced the limited-edition painted "Ludens Gold Ver. Sen-ti-nel Limited 1/6 Articulated Figure," with a suggested retail price of 41,800 JPY, available for limited pre-order on Sen-ti-nel's online store starting December 19, 2022!
The iconic character of the renowned game development studio "KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS," "Ludens," derives its name from the 1938 work "Homo Ludens" by Dutch scholar Johan Huizinga. Its design features an astronaut wearing a skull-shaped mask and a heavy mechanical Extravehicular Activity (EVA) suit, symbolizing the creation of a new future and bringing novel gaming experiences through cutting-edge equipment, advanced technology, and a pioneering spirit.

Making its reappearance at Sen-ti-nel in a golden version, the "Ludens Gold Ver. Sen-ti-nel Limited 1/6 Articulated Figure" stands approximately 310mm tall. It is based on illustrations by Yoji Shinkawa, Kojima's exclusive artist, with Shinkawa himself overseeing the color selection and supervision. Through solid craftsmanship and a high contrast of gold and matte black, Ludens' outstanding appearance is perfectly reproduced! The helmet can be replaced with two forms, black and clear, and a blue LED light module is also installed inside. When the mask is removed, the facial sculpt is exquisitely detailed, and the eyeballs are designed with an articulated mechanism.
The entire body features 46 points of articulation. The Extravehicular Activity (EVA) suit is realistically reproduced using composite materials such as ABS, PVC, and fabric, with its refined design showcasing an appealing texture. Additionally, it comes with a flag printed with the KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS logo and a limited-edition Sen-ti-nel black flag, along with interchangeable hand gestures, a spear accessory, and more, allowing for various display options!
