The emerging model manufacturer ANNULUS TOY, established in 2022, recently unveiled the prototype for its inaugural product: the "Rikka Takarada Articulated Model Kit" from the anime "SSSS.GRIDMAN". Pre-orders are scheduled to officially open in January 2023, with a release in Spring 2023.
Rikka Takarada is a classmate of Yuta Hibiki, Sho Utsumi, Akane Shinjo, and others. Her demeanor and fashion sense are quite stylish, and she has even worked as a hair model. Although she often appears lazy and easily bothered, deep down she is a kind-hearted person who struggles to say no. Rikka's family runs a recycling shop called "JUNK SHOP Aya". Since "JUNK", the computer where GRIDMAN resides, is located in her shop, it also serves as the base for the GRIDMAN Alliance. Akane Shinjo's house is right next door; the two were once close friends but gradually drifted apart at some point. However, Rikka still cares deeply for Akane, considering her an irreplaceable friend.
Details regarding the part separation design, number of molded colors, and other information for the "Rikka Takarada Articulated Model Kit" have not yet been revealed. However, from the prototype, it is evident that this Rikka will be presented in her memorable school uniform, featuring articulated joints in the neck, waist, and limbs, faithfully recreating her full thighs. The facial expressions are interchangeable, and accessories such as a backpack and a handheld book are included. Furthermore, interchangeable parts allow for the recreation of her ponytail hairstyle and short-sleeve top.
Additionally, the "Akane Shinjo Articulated Model Kit", another heroine from the series, is also currently under development and is similarly slated for a Spring 2023 release.
