Kotobukiya's "Megami Device" New Low-Height Body Designed by Illustrator BLADE Under Development – Full of Cat and Loli Elements, Super Cute!

Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, known for its popular assembly model series 『Megami Device』 which combines colorful mechanical equipment with highly articulated bishoujo bodies, recently unveiled the design draft for a new character designed by illustrator BLADE, tentatively named "BLADE-type Megami". The release date is yet to be determined.

This "BLADE-type Megami (tentative name)" is currently about 30% into development. It is being developed using a low-height version of the new "BLOCK2" body, faithfully reproducing the petite and adorable physique designed by BLADE, while also retaining a voluptuous figure. The armed design incorporates a large number of cat elements, including cat ear headwear, cat paw gloves, a cat-themed weapon rack on the hips, and even the hair accessories, tie, and ribbons are full of cats, making for a very adorable design.

However, this design truly looks more and more familiar. Recalling 2018, Kotobukiya had previously teased a new collaboration character for the 《Busou Shinki》 project, also designed by BLADE and featuring cat elements, named "Cheshire Cat-type Momo-nyan". However, with the new game 《Busou Shinki R》 for that project having no release date in sight, this product has been delayed indefinitely. We sincerely hope that this time, as an original character, it can be successfully commercialized.
