World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys today (19th) announced a re-launch from "The Dark Knight Trilogy", featuring the return of "Bane" as a 1/6th scale collectible figure, crafted with the latest production techniques! Expected to ship in Q1-Q2 2024.
The "MMS689 Bane" stands approximately 31 cm tall and features 20 points of articulation throughout its body. Its biggest highlight is the seamless design with hidden joints from the neck to the arms, which not only gives it a more muscular and natural appearance compared to the earlier "MMS183 Bane", but also incorporates a metal internal skeleton. The exterior is meticulously crafted to replicate Bane's tactical vest appearance from his first encounter with Batman in the sewers, faithfully reproducing the armor, shoulder straps, buckles, and other intricate details with realistic weathering. Paired with the brown overcoat and jacket, various iconic looks from the film can be recreated!
The head sculpt not only captures Tom Hardy's facial contours but also intricately details the highly impactful breathing mask. The distinct textures of metal and plastic, along with the skin compression caused by the mask tightly gripping the head, are excellently rendered! With the addition of rolling eyeballs, a wider range of expressions can be achieved. The scar on the back of the neck has, of course, not been overlooked. Accessories include a broken Batman cowl, multiple interchangeable hands, and a display base designed with the Gotham City sewer environment as its theme.
