Cowabunga! Japanese toy company Good Smile Company's best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) toy series will release Nendoroid figures of the four main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters from the classic series. Following Leonardo and Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, the remaining two protagonists, are scheduled for release in August 2023!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can be said to be a shared memory for many born in the 60s and 70s. The comic series began serialization in the United States in 1984, but the most memorable version for many is likely the animated series launched in 1987. In Taiwan, CTV introduced it in 1990, allowing many Taiwanese children to experience the charm of these four turtles. It also made everyone particularly familiar with Renaissance artists during history classes.

The designs for the four Ninja Turtles in this Nendoroid release are based on their original 1987 appearance, adopting a cuter aesthetic, yet undoubtedly remaining the most nostalgic version. The four Ninja Turtles are fundamentally similar in appearance, primarily differentiated by their headband colors, the English letters on their belts, and the types of weapons they wield.
Donatello, represented by the color purple, is the team's genius strategist. He is typically responsible for developing and manufacturing various special gadgets, often handling logistical support. However, don't assume he can't fight; with his long staff in hand, no enemy will escape unscathed. This Nendoroid Donatello comes with three interchangeable facial expressions, and his signature bo staff is, of course, included and can also be mounted on his back. Additional accessories include two slices of their favorite pizza.
