Japanese toy company FREEing (フリーイング) is set to release a new product from "Komi Can't Communicate" in October 2023: the 1/4 scale pre-painted figure "Komi Shoko Bunny Ver." from their "B-Style" series, which produces exquisite female character figures in a large 1/4 scale! This product also caused quite a stir upon its recent announcement.
The school manga "Komi Can't Communicate," created by Japanese manga artist Tomohito Oda, recounts the high school life of Komi Shoko, a super beautiful girl who suffers from a communication disorder but dreams of making 100 friends. Komi-san possesses fair skin, large almond eyes, and smooth, long hair; in short, she is an incredibly radiant beauty! However, due to her extreme shyness, she struggles to converse properly with others and even finds it difficult to speak normally. Nevertheless, after her classmate Hitohito Tadano became aware of Komi-san's predicament, he volunteered to help her achieve her dream of making friends.
The "Komi Shoko Bunny Ver." stands at an impressive 43 cm tall. While Komi-san is clad in a daring original bunny girl outfit, she simultaneously strikes a pose with her hands covering her chest and hips, which perfectly captures Komi-san's shy nature and her difficulty in refusing others. The original author, Tomohito Oda-sensei, also supervised this figure, ensuring a realistic portrayal of Komi-san's expression and graceful body curves. The delicate paintwork beautifully renders the texture of her skin and the glossy visual effect of the leather. Her turned head combined with her flowing black hair is truly stunning! It would not be an exaggeration to describe this figure as "Komi-san, a dream made real"!!
