Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's plastic model kit series "MODEROID" is scheduled to release in September 2023, a plastic model kit of the Thunder Machines "TB-1", "TB-2", and "TB-3" — the vehicles used by the Thunderbirds team during their missions in the classic 80s sci-fi anime "Thunderbirds 2086"!

The anime "Thunderbirds 2086" (Japanese title: 科学救助隊テクノボイジャー), produced and broadcast by Fuji Television, aired on Fuji Television in Japan from April 17 to September 11, 1982, for a total of 24 episodes (though only 18 were actually broadcast). It was adapted and inspired by the British 1965 sci-fi puppet series "Thunderbirds". The story primarily narrates that in the year 2066, although Earth has achieved high levels of development, social problems such as crime and environmental destruction have also emerged. To address these situations, the Federal Government established the "Thunderbirds Team" (科学救助隊テクノボイジャー), selecting five elites from around the world to strive for the salvation of humanity.
This plastic model kit of the Thunder Machines, ridden by the Thunderbirds team during their missions, released by MODEROID, faithfully recreates three of the many TB series machines from the anime: TB-1 (High-Speed Rescue Ship), TB-2 (Large Container Transport Ship), and TB-3 (Large Work Vehicle & Ambulance). In the original work, these machines could combine to form a large spacecraft capable of long-distance travel in space. This model kit perfectly reproduces their combined and separated states, with meticulous attention to detail in its production. When assembled, it measures approximately 28 cm in length. With various molded colors, included decals, and a dedicated display stand, the overall presentation captures the atmosphere of the original series.
