Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, will release the first non-articulated character figure from its "Figuarts ZERO" line, based on the popular anime "Chainsaw Man." The first release will be the protagonist, "Figuarts ZERO Chainsaw Man," with a suggested retail price of 9,350 JPY, scheduled for release in July 2023!
"Chainsaw Man," a dark shonen manga created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, tells the story of a world overrun by "Devils." The extremely impoverished protagonist, Denji, becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying Devils to pay off his deceased father's massive debt, collaborating with the Chainsaw Devil "Pochita" to hunt Devils. In an unexpected incident, Pochita sacrifices himself, forming a contract with Denji's heart, resurrecting Denji and granting him the ability to transform into the Chainsaw Devil. Consequently, he is recruited by the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters Special Division."
The "Figuarts ZERO Chainsaw Man" PVC pre-painted finished product stands approximately 21 cm tall. Based on the scene from the series where he battles the Bat Devil, it captures Denji's dynamic, rampaging pose as he transforms into Chainsaw Man! Blood-red translucent effect parts are used to create a gory, immersive feel, with accompanying guts and intestines forming the base, making Chainsaw Man appear to leap through the air. Rich details are present in the flowing, wrinkled uniform, the scratches on his head, the bloodstains, and the muscle lines beneath his shirt!
