GOOD SMILE COMPANY's popular "Nendoroid" series, boasting over a thousand different figures, will release its latest product from the popular anime Bocchi the Rock!: "Nendoroid Hitori Gotoh"! The suggested retail price is 5,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2023.
Bocchi the Rock! (ぼっち・ざ・ろっく！), centered around the theme "If you're an introvert, play rock!", tells the story of "Hitori Gotoh," a high school girl with severe social anxiety and a school outcast. To gain attention from her classmates, she practiced guitar diligently from a young age, hoping to become a rock star! However, her gloomy personality and inability to interact with others prevented her from forming a band. Instead, she transformed into "Guitar Hero," posting guitar videos online, until she met Nijika from Shimokitazawa High. Together with Ryo, Ikuyo, and others, they formed the "Kessoku Band," where Hitori serves as the lead guitarist. Her bandmates nicknamed her "Bocchi."
The "Nendoroid Hitori Gotoh" stands approximately 10 cm tall, bringing Bocchi's classic pink tracksuit jacket outfit to life in an adorable Q-version sculpt. Her electric guitar is also faithfully recreated in miniature! In addition to her standard gloomy face, she comes with hilarious interchangeable face plates including an "anxious face," a distorted "crying face," and a disoriented "breakdown face"! Paired with various interchangeable hand parts—such as flustered hands, clasped hands, and hands holding a pick—you can enjoy Bocchi in a multitude of situations. Furthermore, a special interchangeable body part, wrapped in a futon and curled into a ball, is included, allowing you to perfectly recreate her in a dark corner with 100% accuracy!
