Japan's MAX FACTORY (株式会社マックスファクトリー) toy company's popular action figure series "figma" will release the latest product from the Japanese comedy group "Yasuda Dai Circus," "figma Kuro-chan"! The suggested retail price is 16,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2023.
Kuro-chan, a member of the Japanese comedy duo "Yasuda Dai Circus" (安田大サーカス), whose real name is Akihito Kurokawa, is characterized by his plump physique, signature bald head, and sharp, high-pitched voice, serving as the "boke" (comedic foil) in the group. He often features in various variety shows, selling his "true nature" through disgusting, perverted, lying, and sexually harassing performances, frequently drawing criticism from netizens and sparking online controversies.
The "figma Kuro-chan" action figure stands approximately 14.5 cm tall. Utilizing figma's original joint parts, it faithfully recreates Kuro-chan's plump physique while allowing for stable posing in various actions. It comes with five interchangeable head parts, including a wide-mouthed gag face, a terrifying kissing face, a winking face, and a squinting face. In addition to pairing with a vibrant pink polo shirt to create a sense of incongruity, interchangeable upper body parts can recreate a semi-nude state... featuring a prominent belly, delicately sculpted nipples, and distinctly rendered chest and back hair, making it remarkably realistic.
