The "1/6 Tokusatsu Series DX" special effects figure line by Japanese model maker CCP is celebrating the 55th anniversary of Tsuburaya Productions' tokusatsu series Ultraman Seven with a special commemorative product: the "Ultraman Seven vs. King Joe Tsuburaya Store ONLINE Limited Set". This item is produced entirely on a made-to-order basis, with a reference price of 37,400 JPY, and is scheduled for release in late August 2023.
The classic Tsuburaya Productions tokusatsu series Ultraman Seven (ウルトラセブン), which aired in 1967, tells the story of "Observer 340," an alien whose true identity is "Dan Moroboshi" in human form. He joins the Japanese special forces "Ultra Guard" to combat alien invaders. Whenever Earth faces a crisis, he transforms into Ultraman Seven to engage in fierce battles with invading space monsters.
The "CCP 1/6 Tokusatsu Series DX Ultraman Seven vs. King Joe Tsuburaya Store ONLINE Limited Set" is themed around the antagonist space robot "King Joe," who appeared in episodes 14 "Ultra Guard Goes West Part 1" and 15 "Ultra Guard Goes West Part 2" of the series. It faithfully recreates the classic scene of Ultraman Seven's intense battle with King Joe! Measuring approximately 20 cm in height, it is crafted from soft vinyl material. The transparent parts on the chest utilize a double-layered soft vinyl, bringing the color and texture closer to its appearance in the series. The screws on its head are also meticulously reproduced!
Ultraman Seven's head is entirely made of soft vinyl. Parts like the eyes and the beam lamp on the forehead utilize the transparency of the soft vinyl, with painting applied from the inside to achieve a realistic texture. Furthermore, the body sculpt is entirely based on the physique of the suit actor for that episode, Mr. Eiichi Kikuchi, reproducing the most authentic details!
