Model manufacturer MENG Model, known for its military model kits such as armed pickups, tanks, and battleships, has once again announced its latest product after releasing the "Unit-01" and "Unit-02" from the popular anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion": the "General-Purpose Humanoid Decisive Weapon Artificial Human EVANGELION New Unit-02α" model kit! The suggested retail price is 17,600 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in May 2023.
The MENG Model "General-Purpose Humanoid Decisive Weapon Artificial Human EVANGELION New Unit-02α" model kit boasts an overwhelming presence with its impressive size of approximately 32.5 cm tall; it faithfully recreates the complex, assembled form from the series, where everything below the chest was modified into JET ALONE-style heavy armor after repairs, reproducing high-density missile launchers, thruster pipelines, and other intricate details. Utilizing multi-color molding and integrated molding technology for its articulated joints, it significantly reduces assembly difficulty and provides stable articulation for its massive body, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses.
Accessories include heavy armaments such as the "Triple-Barrel Gatling Gun," "Large Circular Saw," "Stop Signal Plug," and "Naginata," along with various interchangeable hand parts. The large thruster backpack on its back is detachable, allowing it to be gradually equipped from a single main body into an imposing heavy armament form!
