Japanese game giant CAPCOM, in collaboration with renowned monster sculptors, will release a 3D statue of the ice-element Elder Dragon "Velkhana" (イヴェルカーナ) as part of its "CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model" series, sold through its own e-CAPCOM, with an anticipated release in August 2023!
First appearing in the major DLC "Iceborne" for "Monster Hunter: World", Velkhana (whose Chinese character '呪' shares the same pronunciation as '咒', meaning 'curse') is the flagship Elder Dragon featured on the DLC's cover. Its ice armor is dazzlingly white and bright, exuding a noble aura. However, its breath attacks, which unleash chilling blasts, are incredibly powerful, capable of instantly freezing anything. Its sharp tail can also strike hunters swiftly like a blade. To stand a chance, hunters must find a way to strip away its ice armor and weaken its abilities. Velkhana also made an appearance in the most recent major update for "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak".
This Creator's Model Velkhana 3D statue, released by CAPCOM, stands approximately 31 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Velkhana's majestic pose, with wings spread and tail coiled, seemingly poised for attack. The icy appearance on the outer edges of its wings conveys a sense of chilling elegance. Every detail of its scales is visible, and the sharp horns and pointed protrusions on its head, combined with its partially open mouth, are incredibly lifelike, inevitably reminding players of the tension from their first encounter with it.
