The original mecha girl-themed plastic model kit series "30 MINUTES SISTERS", launched by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., officially showcased prototypes of its first collaboration products with "The Idolmaster Shiny Colors" at the ongoing 61st Shizuoka Hobby Show. These are scheduled for release in autumn 2023.
The idol training game "The Idolmaster Shiny Colors", operated by Japan's Bandai Namco, is approaching its fifth anniversary. In the game, players take on the role of a producer at 283 PRODUCTION, nurturing female idols. Over eight weeks, through dialogue, lessons, events, and branching choices, players enhance the idols' performance abilities, striving to achieve their most dazzling form through sweat and tears, aiming for victory in competitions like "W.I.N.G.". Including the recently announced solo idol "Ruka Ikaruga," who transferred to 283, players will eventually be able to train up to 26 idol characters.
The 30MS series utilizes a flexible and versatile articulated body structure, and this collaboration aims to release all 26 idol characters from the game, recreating their magnificent appearances in their 【Beyond The Blue Sky】 outfits. The first wave of products will feature the familiar initial trio: Manami Sakuragi, Hiori Kazano, and Meguru Hachimiya. However, not every character can be completed by purchasing a single product. Continuing the 30MS series' characteristic modularity, individual hair, face, and body parts can be freely combined, and are, of course, interchangeable with original 30MS series characters and equipment.
