Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys, renowned for its collectible high-end articulated figures, has officially announced its latest product from the 2022 series "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN," the "Battle Hopper 1/6 Scale Model," slated for release in September 2024.
The "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN" version of the Battle Hopper (Battle Hopper Go) is the beloved motorcycle used by protagonist Kotaro Minami in the 1970s. This bike is a modified version of the real-world heavy motorcycle "HONDA CB750F," featuring a unique grasshopper-shaped front and a cool, heavily exposed mechanical structure in its lower half. While it doesn't possess special, life-like abilities such as an artificial brain like the "Kamen Rider BLACK" version, its condition remains remarkably well-maintained even after 50 years.
This "Battle Hopper" is crafted in the same 1/6 scale as Kamen Rider BLACK SUN, boasting a substantial size with a total length of 37 cm and a height of approximately 20 cm. The heavily exposed mechanical structures, including the grasshopper-shaped headlight on the front, the bike frame, engine, suspension, exhaust pipe, and more, are all meticulously recreated from their on-screen appearance. The tires are made of rubber material and feature finely sculpted tread patterns. The entire model is finished with multiple metallic paint applications to thoroughly express its metallic texture and weathering effects, giving the vehicle greater depth and realism.
The handlebars, tires, and other parts feature articulated mechanisms for angle adjustment. The headlight, side body lights, and taillight all incorporate built-in LED light-up functions. When paired with the separately sold Kamen Rider BLACK SUN figure, you can recreate the cool riding scenes from the series!
