S-FIRE, the popular brand under Japanese game company SEGA, following "Chainsaw Man" and "Power," has once again announced its latest product based on the popular anime "Chainsaw Man": the "Denji & Pochita" 1/7 scale figure. The suggested retail price is 22,000 JPY, with an estimated release in August 2024!
"Chainsaw Man," a dark shonen manga created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, tells the story of a world overrun by "devils." The extremely impoverished protagonist, Denji, to pay off his deceased father's enormous debt, becomes a Devil Hunter who earns money by slaying devils, and partners with the Chainsaw Devil, "Pochita," to hunt devils. In a certain accident, Pochita sacrifices himself and, through a contract, merges with Denji's heart, allowing Denji to revive and gain the ability to transform into a Chainsaw Devil. He is subsequently noticed by the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters."
The "S-FIRE Denji & Pochita" 1/7 scale figure is based on the cover illustration from the new serialization of the Chainsaw Man manga in "Weekly Shonen Jump," recreating Denji's pose, chainsaw in hand, with a mischievous smile! Pochita adorably rests on Denji's shoulder! With a total height of approximately 24.5 cm, it faithfully reproduces the wrinkles in his clothing and the intricate details of the chainsaw. The meticulous paintwork is also a highlight.
