The popular action figure series S.H.Figuarts, from BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division "TAMASHII NATIONS" in Japan, will release its latest product "S.H.Figuarts Son Goku Ultra Instinct -Toyotarou Edition-" based on the popular anime series "Dragon Ball Super"! The suggested retail price is 8,800 Japanese Yen, and it is scheduled for release in February 2024.
"Ultra Instinct (身勝手の極意)" is a new powerful form in the "Dragon Ball Super" anime, where Goku's abilities awaken and break through their limits during intense battles. In addition to boosts in speed and power, it also possesses the attribute of "body reaction," differing from previous fighting styles that relied on sensing ki. It transcends self-awareness, allowing each part of the body to move automatically in a conditioned reflex. Aesthetically, besides emitting a silver glow and a change in hair color, even his eyes turn into a brighter silver hue.
The "S.H.Figuarts Son Goku Ultra Instinct -Toyotarou Edition-" is fully supervised by Toyotarou-sensei, the official artist for the "Dragon Ball Super" manga version. In addition to basing the coloring on the manga version, restoring the shiny silver hair color, it also recreates Goku as drawn by Toyotarou-sensei through hair parts depicting wind-blown hair ends and four newly sculpted interchangeable face parts! Furthermore, it includes the V Jump book "Dragon Ball S.H.Figupedia," which summarizes the key points of the "S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball" series. It has 144 pages and contains a catalog of series products and interviews with Toyotarou-sensei and the planning staff.
