GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese company, has announced the latest product in its Q-version articulated figure series, "Nendoroid," featuring "Usagi" from the super popular manga "Chiikawa: Something Small and Cute," scheduled for release in October 2023.
"Chiikawa," created by Japanese manga artist Nagano, depicts the stories of the two-headed, small animal "Chiikawa tribe" in a cute picture book style. They earn their living through tasks like weeding and subjugation, leading lives that are sometimes joyful, sometimes arduous, and sometimes frustrating. While presenting this fantastical world in a very cute style, it also contains many realistic and dark elements, bringing a unique charm to the work.
The "Usagi" released this time is one of the three main characters, often playing and working with Chiikawa and Hachiware. The Nendoroid series faithfully recreates the character in 3D based on the original two-headed art style. Its magnetic limb parts allow for free posing in various actions. The head sculpt not only perfectly reproduces Nagano's brushwork, but also features a segmented design for interchangeable parts, allowing for three expressions: "Smiling Face," "Humph Face," and "Blank Stare Face." Paired with accessories like a "Stick," "Waving Arm," and "Crossed Arms," you can recreate Usagi's famous scenes where it makes various strange sounds without speaking!
