Toy collectors, have you started watching the recently popular live-action "One Piece" yet?! Today (the 1st), world-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys announced its latest product from the series: a 1/6th scale collectible figure of "Monkey D. Luffy," as portrayed by Iñaki Godoy!
This live-action "Luffy" created by Hot Toys stands approximately 31 cm tall and features 30 points of articulation. The head sculpt is designed with a confident, smiling expression, faithfully recreating Luffy's iconic scar below his left eye. With articulated eyeballs and what I personally feel are overly voluminous curly hair parts, a variety of poses can be achieved. Iñaki Godoy's innocent, boyish charm from the series is well-depicted in this figure, though the facial contours are quite angle-dependent.
Luffy's signature red vest and denim pants with fringe details on the cuffs are meticulously tailored. Accessories include the Devil Fruit, interchangeable extended arms with steam effects, and an extended right leg part, allowing collectors to recreate classic special moves such as "Gum-Gum Pistol," "Gum-Gum Rocket," and "Gum-Gum Whip."
