PLEX, a Japanese model manufacturer, today announced the latest product from its "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure" series, the "RX-75 Guntank -SD Gundam-", scheduled for release in January 2024.

The RX-75 Guntank is a long-range artillery support mobile suit built by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War as part of the "V Project" mobile suit development plan. Like the "RX-78-2 Gundam" and "RX-77-2 Guncannon", it features a Core Fighter design. As the bipedal locomotion system was not yet complete during its development, its lower body was redesigned with tank-like treads, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 70 km/h. The Guntank is equipped with a 120mm low-recoil cannon on each shoulder and 40mm 4-tube missile launchers on its arms, providing precise artillery support for Gundams fighting on the front lines. However, the Guntank lacks close-quarters defensive capabilities, making it difficult to counter enemies that get too close, even when using its chassis thrusters to create distance.

The "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD RX-75 Guntank" boasts an impressive height of approximately 20 cm (to the top of the head). Crafted from PVC soft vinyl, it features a substantial and durable body. The entire model is produced using 3D digital modeling, faithfully reproducing intricate details such as the back hatch and tread structure. Simple articulation mechanisms are included for the two shoulder cannons, shoulder joints, waist, and wrist missile launchers. The large tread parts on both sides can also be adjusted, allowing for more dynamic posing.
