Danish toy company LEGO yesterday (21st) announced its latest product from "Super Mario Bros.", featuring the most classic man-eating flower! The "Piranha Plant", numbered 71426, is scheduled to go on sale starting November 6, 2023!
This set contains a total of 540 pieces, and once assembled, it stands 23 cm tall. From the green pipe, the stem, and the leaves, to the Piranha Plant's iconic fanged maw, every detail is meticulously recreated. The flower portion, outlined with multiple curved pieces, is incredibly lifelike; in addition to smoothing out the studded appearance, the white spots on the red flower are rendered with printing. The tubular pieces used for the lips are reminiscent of the construction method for "71411 The Mighty Bowser". The leaves have a lovely, substantial feel, and multiple articulated mechanisms allow for dynamic attack poses! Additionally, the set includes two coin pieces.
▼ The pipe's rounded lines are truly beautiful!
▼ Holding it in hand, it instantly feels smaller than expected; definitely need to buy a few more to play with!
