Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company's collector toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, which issues the popular action figure "S.H.Figuarts" series, previously announced "Guts (Berserker Armor)" and "Griffith (Hawk of Light)" from the popular work "Berserk". They have now announced the latest entry in the series, "S.H.Figuarts Guts (Berserker Armor) -Passion-"! The suggested retail price is 14,300 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in March 2024.
In "Berserk", when the protagonist Guts battles the "Flame Dragon" Grunbeld, he dons the cursed armor "Berserker Armor", forged by the Dwarves (ドワーフ). This armor intensely amplifies the dormant hatred and resentment deep within him. The surging, excited rage numbs his pain, replaced by a ferocious, powerful impulse that allows Guts to fight wildly with strength beyond human limits! He effortlessly knocks away the Flame Dragon and shatters shields that even cannonballs couldn't penetrate.
The "S.H.Figuarts Guts (Berserker Armor) -Passion-" action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall. Fully supervised by STUDIO Gaga, the movable body is sculpted from the skeletal structure up to reproduce the original proportions while allowing for natural movement, naturally recreating powerful poses. This figure renders in three dimensions Guts' transformation into the Dark Beast state, devoured by the Berserker Armor. It faithfully recreates the wild, beast-like appearance, with the main body featuring a printed paint finish to achieve a sharp and robust texture. The eyes utilize metallic red, creating a sense of agony and ferocity.
The tattered cape also features a printed finish to reproduce the original texture and includes an internal wire for free posing. In addition to the Dark Beast head, two interchangeable head parts are included: a Skull state and a Rational state. The interchangeable leg parts allow for beast-like crouching poses. Accessories include the "Dragon Slayer" sword with battle-damaged details (requires a TAMASHII STAGE stand for support), and an interchangeable cannon arm, allowing for various battle poses!
