New Gundam Model Kit "MG 1/100 NT Gundam C-Packs Ver.Ka" Prototype Revealed, Full Details Expected in December!

BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has unveiled the prototype of its latest Gunpla product, the "MG 1/100 NT Gundam C-Packs Ver.Ka," from "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" at the upcoming "61st All Japan Model & Hobby Show" this weekend. Full product details are expected to be revealed in December 2023.

The protagonist mobile suit of "Mobile Suit Gundam NT", the RX-9 NT Gundam (Narrative Gundam), is set as an experimental psycho-frame unit developed by Anaheim Electronics, based on the RX-93 ν Gundam. Its external appearance and component structure are largely similar to the ν Gundam. As its primary purpose was data acquisition, many parts were not equipped with armor, and its only armament was the head-mounted vulcan cannons. During the "Phoenix Hunt" operation, this unit was unearthed by Luio & Co. for reinforcement. It can be equipped with the large, high-mobility "A-Packs" featuring psycho-capture devices, the "B-Packs" equipped with a wired remote attack system backpack, and the "C-Packs", an external armor secretly modified by Luio & Co. consultant Michelle Luio using psycho-frames collected from Unicorn Gundam series units.

The "MG 1/100 NT Gundam C-Packs Ver.Ka" is designed by popular mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME. In addition to utilizing precise color separation and part division techniques to construct intricate details not achievable in previous HG products, it also faithfully recreates the setting where the Unicorn Gundam's psycho-frame is repurposed for the C-Packs, as well as the core fighter docking mechanism in the abdomen, allowing the core fighter to be displayed independently.
