Following the release of the "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN", "Kamen Rider SHADOWMOON", and "Battle Hopper" collectible figures, world-renowned high-end collectible figure manufacturer Hot Toys recently announced a new 1/6th scale collectible figure from "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN": the "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN (Battle Damaged Version)"! Shipping is estimated to begin in Q1-Q2 2024.
In the series "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN", the protagonist Kotaro Minami was implanted with the King Stone by his father at the age of 11, becoming a Kaijin and a candidate for the "Creation King". In 1970s Japan, a period of escalating conflict between humans and Kaijin, Kotaro Minami, Nobuhiko Akizuki, and a group of Kaijin comrades formed the anti-discrimination group "Gorgom" to advocate for Kaijin rights, but it disintegrated due to intervention from the Japanese government. Fifty years later, Kotaro lives a life of detachment, earning dirty money. It wasn't until he met Aoi Izumi, a human girl who helps Kaijin speak out, that Kotaro awakened from his Kaijin form to become Kamen Rider BLACK SUN, determined to end the series of tragedies brought about by the "Creation King".
After Hot Toys meticulously recreated Kamen Rider BLACK SUN's muscular and insectoid armored body based on the live-action series, this new Battle Damaged Version features intricate scratch marks and damage effects on the chest, neck, and right shoulder. Furthermore, it includes an enraged interchangeable face, orange-red attack effects that can be attached to the right hand and right foot, and a destroyed concrete wall diorama base with exposed rebar. Like the previously released Kamen Rider BLACK SUN, this figure also features LED light-up functions in the eyes and belt (USB powered), and comes with detachable disposable insect legs, the Century King Black Sword, and multiple interchangeable hands, allowing for dynamic and powerful battle poses!
