SEGA Prize "Dungeon Meshi Marcille": That Blissful Smile Was Surely Preceded by a Look of Disgust!

SEGA Prize, a brand under Japanese game company SEGA, has recently announced the latest addition to its "Premium Chokonose" sitting figure series. This new product features the heroine "Marcille" from the recently popular anime "Dungeon Meshi" and is scheduled for release in late March!

"Dungeon Meshi" is an original work by manga artist Ryoko Kui, adapted into a TV anime by animation studio TRIGGER. The story follows protagonist Laios and his party after they are wiped out on the lowest floor of a dungeon. To rescue his sister, who was swallowed by a red dragon, and to reduce travel costs, they hunt monsters in the dungeon, turning them into delicious meals, as they make their way towards the bottom. The combination of gourmet food and adventure has been widely loved by fans. A major highlight of this work is the conflicting feeling of sudden realization mixed with a sense that something isn't quite right, which arises every time a dish is introduced!
In the series, the heroine Marcille always shows extreme disgust when faced with monsters to be cooked, yet she invariably displays a blissful expression after taking the first bite. This stark contrast is Marcille's unique charm and is beloved by readers!

Looking at this "Premium Chokonose Marcille" figure, with a bite missing from the meat in her hand, it's clear why she's smiling so broadly. But surely, just a second ago, her expression must have been one of disgust! Despite her sitting pose, her hair and clothes convey a significant sense of dynamism. Her eager posture highlights the deliciousness of the monster, making one irresistibly want to take a bite too!
