Released by Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY, the affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE," following the release of Marcille from Ryoko Kui's Japanese manga "Delicious in Dungeon," today (12th) announced its next installment. Surprisingly, it's not another character from Laios's party, but Farlyn (Falin), who might currently still be inside the Red Dragon's belly! Scheduled for release starting September 2024, with a suggested retail price of 4,800 JPY (tax included).
"Delicious in Dungeon" centers on "an adventure of tasting gourmet food in a dungeon labyrinth." The protagonist Laios and his party failed in their challenge against the Red Dragon and were wiped out. To rescue his sister Farlyn, who was swallowed by the Red Dragon, he decided to challenge the dungeon once more. To solve the food problem on a low budget (and because he himself had always wanted to taste monsters), Laios, along with the mage Marcille, the locksmith Chilchuck, and their newly met companion, the axe-wielding warrior Senshi, who has been researching monster cuisine for ten years, embarked on a self-sufficient monster cooking exploration journey in the dungeon.
Although she was swallowed by the Red Dragon at the beginning of the story while protecting her brother Laios and didn't join the adventure of exploring monster cuisine, as the plot progresses, we learn more about Farlyn through everyone's memories and words. Such as her extremely gentle and kind personality, even towards monsters, and how she and Marcille had known each other since magic academy and became good friends, among other things. In the setting, Farlyn is a 23-year-old Tallman, skilled in exorcism magic, while recovery and support magic were learned during her academy days.
"POP UP PARADE Farlyn" stands approximately 18 cm tall, recreating her signature gentle smile and squinted eyes, as well as Farlyn's light blonde short hair and her adventurer outfit in off-white paired with sapphire blue. The wrinkles in her waist clothing, the leather texture of her long boots, the sculpted details of the luggage behind her, and more, are all well-executed.
