Bandai Japan's Ultraman soft vinyl toy series, "ウルトラヒーローシリーズ (Ultra Hero Series)," recently announced its latest products from the special effects TV drama "Ultraman ARC," which is scheduled to premiere on July 6, 2024: the "Ultraman ARC Solis Armor" and "Ultraman ARC Luna Armor" soft vinyl toys! They will be released in July and August 2024, respectively, with a suggested retail price of 880 JPY (tax included).
The sixth installment in the Reiwa era Ultraman series, "Ultraman ARC," features Yuma Hishigata as its protagonist. Yuma, who experienced monster disasters in his childhood, still harbors dreams and aspires to become a kaiju biologist. After being selected as a new investigator for the Kaiju Disaster Prevention Science Institute (SKIP), he suddenly encounters a massive monster attack. When a strong desire to "protect the people in front of me" surges within Yuma, he connects with Rutien (ルティオン), a messenger of light from a distant galaxy, transforming into the giant of light who protects humanity's future: Ultraman ARC. Coincidentally, Ultraman ARC looks exactly like the strongest hero Yuma sketched as a child.
Born from Yuma Hishigata unleashing his imagination and merging with the messenger of light, Rutien, Ultraman ARC not only possesses the special move "Arc Final Rise" but can also equip armor by changing "ARC Cubes" when his color timer flashes red due to energy depletion. This includes the "Solis Armor," which releases the power of the Solis Armor Cube, and the "Luna Armor," which releases the power of the Luna Armor Cube – these are the toy designs featured this time.
Ultra Hero Series 98 Ultraman ARC Solis Armor
Suggested Retail Price: 880 JPY (tax included), Estimated Release Date: July 27, 2024
As if Ultraman ARC is clad in flames burning like the sun, the Solis Armor is designed as a power-type armor, excelling in close-quarters combat. When the Solis Core (tentative translation) on its chest shines, the Solis Armor can unleash even greater power in both offense and defense.
Ultra Hero Series 99 Ultraman ARC Luna Armor
Suggested Retail Price: 880 JPY (tax included), Estimated Release Date: August 24, 2024
Next is the Luna Armor, which echoes the bright moonlight with its primary blue hue. In contrast to the Solis Armor, the Luna Armor is an agility-specialized speed-type armor. Its design not only enhances aerial combat capabilities, but the circular weapon, Luna Sorcerer, mounted on its left forearm can also be thrown like a disc, serving as a powerful long-range attack.
▼ Meanwhile, the "Ultra Hero Series Ultraman ARC" from the same series will be released on June 8, ahead of the "Ultraman ARC" broadcast, with a suggested retail price of 770 JPY.
