Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced that its new original robot model kit series, 'FORME ARMS', will launch its first product, 'Rail Virth V.F.A.', in January 2025.

The brand-new 'FORME ARMS' series inherits and further refines elements from the previous 'FRAME ARMS' series. It retains the original mecha theme and the 3mm expansion ports compatible with M.S.G and other Kotobukiya original model kits. However, it abandons the common movable frame design structure used by each unit, returning to a simpler construction where the head, torso, arms, and legs are independent parts forming a single robot. This liberates internal space, allowing for more diverse styling and articulation. Concurrently, the number of parts has been significantly reduced to lower assembly difficulty, and the retail price will be more accessible compared to previous 'FRAME ARMS' products.

The first product, 'Rail Virth V.F.A.', is designed by sera, a designer who has won numerous awards in various Kotobukiya official model-making competitions. It is a modification of his previously created original robot, 'Rail Virth', now re-designed as a model kit with series-specific joints and refreshed details. Utilizing a minimal number of parts, it faithfully reproduces the mecha's design and flexible articulation, completed with only 105 parts molded in blue, white, dark gray, gold, and clear green.

The entire model continues Kotobukiya's model kit characteristics, featuring numerous 3mm expansion ports for customization with separately sold 'M.S.G', 'Hexa Gear', and other model kit parts. Furthermore, the connection shafts for the unit's wrists and legs are interchangeable with previous 'FRAME ARMS' series units.
