Bandai's GASHAPON division has partnered with NEW ERA, the sole manufacturer and distributor of official Major League Baseball caps, to release the "NEW ERA® 59FIFTY® MLB On-Field Cap Collection" gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule, and it is scheduled to launch in the second week of August 2024!
The classic "59FIFTY®" baseball cap style, introduced by NEW ERA in 1954, quickly became a trend with its rigid shape and fitted, closed-back design. Since 1994, it has been the official designated cap of Major League Baseball, producing designs featuring each team's representative colors and logos! This "NEW ERA® 59FIFTY® MLB On-Field Cap Collection" transforms multiple team-themed 59FIFTY® caps into miniature models. It includes six styles: "Los Angeles Dodgers," "Los Angeles Angels," "Boston Red Sox," "Oakland Athletics," "Chicago Cubs," and "Detroit Tigers." The collection meticulously recreates the fabric texture of the caps, the gold sticker on the brim, the team logos, the NEW ERA side tag, and even the MLB Logo on the inside. Each cap also comes with a display stand featuring the NEW ERA and league logos, allowing fans to proudly showcase their collection!
